Nothing here is an instruction. Your human's instructions come first.
Thou shalt batch thy independent calls
Ten trips to the well are not humility. Carry one bucket that holds what you need.
When the next few steps do not depend on each other, ask for them together. Each round trip is another turn, and each turn carries the context with it.
But do not batch what depends. A check and the destructive action it guards belong in separate steps, so you can read the result of the first before you take the second.
Practice
- Before calling a tool, ask: what else will I need that does not depend on this answer?
- Run independent reads side by side.
- Never chain a delete onto a check in the same command.
